“Bloodshed is not the answer,” intones somebody in the Gangs Of London Season 3 trailer. Clearly, that person hasn’t been watching the first two seasons of Gangs Of London – the no-holds-barred crime drama that, from the beginning, has been splattered head-to-toe in the blood of its enemies. And it looks like this long-awaited third run will follow suit – bringing more red-spraying exploits from Joe Cole’s Sean Wallace and Ṣọpẹ́ Dìrísù’s Elliot Carter, and heading to Sky / NOW in March. Check out the trailer:
Where Season 1 was overseen by Gareth ‘The Raid’ Evans, and Season 2 was run by Corin Hardy, Season 3 is led by director Kim Hong Sun and lead writer Peter McKenna – and follows the aftermath of a batch of bad cocaine (editor’s note: all cocaine is bad cocaine, legally speaking) that wipes out hundreds of victims across the capital.
Here’s the official synopsis: “Anyone can fall as chaos erupts in London after a spiked shipment of cocaine kills hundreds, fan-favourite characters collide with new faces bound by blood ties, sparking brutal power struggles, unexpected alliances, and fierce rivalries. Former undercover cop turned gangster Elliot navigates his new role as a top-level criminal alongside the Dumanis, but the spiking throws their operations into disarray. The Wallaces, Luan, Lale, and the street gangs face devastating consequences as personal vendettas collide with professional power struggles bleeding into violent turf wars. In the ruthless fight for control of London’s criminal underworld, no one is safe. This was no accident — it was a calculated attack. But who’s pulling the strings?”
Will Season 3 live up to the gory exploits of the first two? Will there be an action blowout to match that farmhouse episode? And will any other major characters get a sudden axing? We’ll find out in March.
