Former Doctor Who showrunner Steven Moffat steps onboard the TARDIS once more by penning an episode of Ncuti Gatwa's first season. After contributing to the series in its "Wilderness Years," Moffat was brought on board Russell T Davies' revival in 2005, writing multiple adventures in Christopher Eccleston and David Tennant's eras. As Davies departed and Tennant regenerated into Matt Smith, Moffat inherited showrunner duties from 2010 to 2017, overseeing Smith and Peter Capaldi's adventures and the 50th-anniversary celebrations.
