M3GAN 2.0 Trailer: The Bitch Is Back – And Ready For War With Ivanna Sakhno’s Android

You can't spell insane without AI — and insane AI is exactly what we're about to get if the batshit new trailer for M3GAN 2.0 is anything to go by. Yes, two years after Blumhouse and director Gerard Johnstone first introduced us to M3GAN, the android BFF with the seriously (cf; literally) killer moves, the bitch is back and ready to go to war with an all-new I.T. girl, Ahsoka star Ivanna Sakhno's rogue super spy Amelia, in a sequel that's set to go harder, better, faster, stronger, and sassier than its already riotous predecessor. Allison Williams, Violet McGraw, and all your faves from the first film are along for the ride too — and you can check out the nutso new trailer below;

As murderbot M3GAN so eloquently puts it while flying in a wing suit, "Hold onto your vaginas!" Where do we even begin? From the impeccable 'Oops!... I Did It Again' Britney needle drop, to Jenna Davis' brilliantly feisty line deliveries as the titular murderously loyal robogirl ("You threatened to rip out my tongue and put me in a wheelchair!" bellows Williams' inventor Gemma; "I was upset!" fires back M3GAN), to some kickass moves from Sakhno's new bitch on the block Amelia, the stage is perfectly set for a camp delight with all the right notches cranked up to eleven. And this time out, our gal M3GAN even gets some nifty new upgrades, including even-more-superspeed, even-more-superstrength, and some newfound verticality as the rebuilt murderess looks set to come of age and save her gal Cady (McGraw) — and maybe the world — once again.

Here's the official synopsis for the plot (if anyone really needs a plot to buy a ticket to this one): "Two years after M3GAN, a marvel of artificial intelligence, went rogue and embarked on a murderous (and impeccably choreographed) rampage and was subsequently destroyed, M3GAN’s creator Gemma has become a high-profile author and advocate for government oversight of A.I. Meanwhile, Gemma’s niece Cady, now 14, has become a teenager, rebelling against Gemma’s overprotective rules. Unbeknownst to them, the underlying tech for M3GAN has been stolen and misused by a powerful defense contractor to create a military-grade weapon known as Amelia, the ultimate killer infiltration spy. But as Amelia’s self-awareness increases, she becomes decidedly less interested in taking orders from humans. Or in keeping them around. With the future of human existence on the line, Gemma realizes that the only option is to resurrect M3GAN and give her a few upgrades, making her faster, stronger, and more lethal. As their paths collide, the original A.I bitch is about to meet her match." Aristotle Athari (Hacks), Timm Sharp (Percy Jackson And The Olympians), and Jemaine Clement(What We Do In The Shadows) join the cast this time out, too.
