Stranger Things Season 5 Shares New Behind The Scenes Video As Final Series Filming Continues

'Sup, nerds? It's been a long two years since Stranger Things' two-part fourth season reached its heart stopping conclusion, bringing our band of heroes back to Hawkins for the mother of all battles that lies ahead. But now, seven months (and a West End play launch) after Stranger Things Season 5 officially went into production, Netflix and The Duffer Brothers are finally starting to tease what awaits in the sci-fi phenomenon's final series — and honestly folks, it looks like it's gonna be a doozy! Check out the new behind the scenes featurette below;

"This is the season fans have been waiting for." No kidding, guys! Despite the veil of secrecy shrouding our final jaunt to the Upside Down, there's plenty in this teaser of Stranger Things' big finale to get excited for. Firstly, we have confirmation that the show's crested the halfway point of shooting, which bodes well for a potential 2025 release. Secondly, there's already a real heartstring tugging focus on the series' central once-kid cast — Millie Bobby Brown, Caleb McLoughlin, Finn Wolfhard, Noah Schnapp, and Gaten Matarazzo in particular — getting to share scenes together once again after spending large swathes of the last couple of seasons split up on their own personal journeys. And then there's a bunch of other small-but-not-really-small-at-all things — Linda Hamilton on set! Frank Darabont behind the camera! Dustin seemingly heading to Eddie Munson's grave! Gooey Vecna-vibey red string! Castle Byers (flashbacks abound?) — that really hammer home the size and scale of the climax ahead.

Amidst all the emotional music, hype-building cast narration, and slo-mo shots of fan favourites walking the show's Atlanta soundstages, the new BTS clip also reveals yet more additions to the series' cast in the shape of young stars Nell Fisher, Alex Breaux and Jake Connelly. Their roles, like the plot of the final season, remain very much under wraps for now. But for all that we don't yet know about Hawkins' last stand against the Demo-denizens of The Upside Down, we do know a couple of things — it's going to be epic, and tissues will be required. While we wait for more news on S5, we're off to rewatch the whole series so far and stock up on Eggos. Yum!
