Andor Star Joplin Sibtain Among New House Of The Dragon Season 3 Cast Additions

Having won our hearts as proud Ferrixian and close pal of Cassian Andor Brasso in Tony Gilroy's Andor, Joplin Sibtain is heading out from a galaxy far, far away and across the Narrow Sea to Westeros as one of three new additions to Season 3 of HBO Game Of Thrones prequel House Of The Dragon. As reported by Variety, Sibtain is joining the fantasy juggernaut alongside The Gold's Tom Cullen and The Sandman Season 2 star Barry Sloane, with the trio set to play Ser “Bold” Jon Roxton, Ser Luthor Largent, and Ser Adrian Redfort respectively in Ryan Condal's Westerosi epic.
For those who haven't read George R.R. Martin's World Of Ice & Fire or Fire & Blood, Sibtain's character is allied to Alicent Hightower’s (Olivia Cooke) during the Targaryen civil war (aka 'The Dance of Dragons'), wielding the Valyrian steel sword Orphan-Maker with his noted "black temper" during the bloody conflict. As for Cullen's Ser Luthor and Sloane's Ser Adrian, the former holds rank as the lowborn, seven-foot tall Commander of the City Watch of King's Landing, while the latter is a member of Rhaenyra Targaryen's (Emma D'Arcy) Queensguard. These newcomers to Condal's world of dragons and death join previously announced House Of The Dragon Season 3 additions James Norton (as Ormund Hightower), Tommy Flanagan (as Lord Roderick Dustin), and Dan Fogler (as Ser Torrhen Manderly).
With production underway now on House Of The Dragon Season 3, we would expect the show to continue HBO's trend of two-year gaps between seasons. But while a longer wait may disappoint some viewers, with the books' infamously bloody Battle of the Gullet perfectly teed up by Season 2's finale, the almost unbearable anticipation promises to be more than worth it as we head into what could well be the largest blockbuster setpiece in on-screen Thrones history. What's more, we've also got new Thrones spin-off A Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms heading our way this year to give high fantasy fans their next Westeros fix. Hopefully George R. R. Martin will at least like that one, eh? Heaven forfend more of the dread "toxic tweaks" the Thrones godhead put on blast after House Of The Dragon Season 2 aired...
