Stranger Things has evolved into a true pop culture phenomenon since Will Byers first disappeared into the Upside Down in 2016, and in season 5 he'll finally get a minor improvement that his character has needed since the first season. Will Byers has been a centerpiece of the show since he was snatched by the Demogorgon, and his connection to the Upside Down has been at the heart of many Stranger Things season 5 theories. While most of the characters have changed their appearance or found themselves in relationships over the four existing seasons, Will has remained largely the same in personality, and remained alone.
