Director Quentin Tarantino's self-imposed 10-movie rule means that the filmmaker will never be able to realize the potential of one idea teased back in 2003. Despite enjoying enormous critical and commercial success, Tarantino has long declared that he will only make 10 movies before retiring as a director. Given that he counts Kill Bill: Volume 1 and Volume 2 as one single movie, his upcoming release, The Movie Critic, will mark Tarantino's last outing as a director – if he sticks to this pledge.
