Game Of Thrones Prequel A Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms Adds Shaun Thomas, Edward Ashley And More To Its Cast

With the cameras rolling for close to a couple of months now, the Game Of Thrones prequel A Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms is most definitely underway ahead of its arrival on our screens next year (well, we've got to have something to fill the time while we wait for the third season of House Of The Dragon to flap in). And following on from June's casting flurry, another bunch of additions have been announced, with Edward Ashley, Henry Ashton, Daniel Monks, Shaun Thomas, Tom Vaughan-Lawlor and Danny Webb all reporting for duty down Westeros way.

Those new arrivals join stars Peter Claffey as Ser Duncan the Tall and Dexter Sol Ansell as his squire, Egg.

As you'll no doubt know by this point, A Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms is set roughly 100 years before the events of the parent show (and 100 years after the dragon-clashing conflicts of House Of The Dragon), and follows the two unlikely heroes as they wander the land. The official synopsis adds: "Set in an age when the Targaryen line still holds the Iron Throne, and the memory of the last dragon has not yet passed from living memory, great destinies, powerful foes, and dangerous exploits all await these improbable and incomparable friends."

And just in case you were wondering who is playing whom, here's the listing: Ashley is Ser Steffon Fossoway, Ashton plays Daeron Targaryen (no, not that one, another one – those Targaryens really like that name, don't they?), Kerkour will be Steely Pate, Monks has the role of Ser Manfred Dondarrion, Thomas will appear as Raymun Fossoway, Vaughan-Lawlor (Ebony Maw hive, assemble!) is Plummer and Danny Webb will be Ser Arlan of Pennytree.

The focus will turn to this one as HBO puts it to the critical and audience sword at some point in 2025.
