New Wicked Photos Prove The Movie Has Nailed The Most Important Part Of The Musical

Universal released new promotional photos for its Wicked movie, and several shots prove that it's nailing the most important part of the Broadway musical. The studio's adaptation of Wicked is broken into two parts, the first of which debuts in theaters on November 27, 2024. The film will tell the same story as the musical it's based on, which adapts Gregory Maguire's Wicked novel. At its core, the narrative is a Wizard of Oz retelling that asks how the Wicked Witch of the West becomes the villain she is in L. Frank Baum's book and the classic 1939 film.
