Denis Villeneuve’s Dune: Part Two is the first major blockbuster hit of 2024 so far, and it is already being talked about as a frontrunner for many awards at next year’s Oscars ceremony. The film adapts the second half of Frank Herbert’s classic sci-fi novel, Dune, which was published in 1965. The first half of the book was brought to life with Villeneuve’s first Dune film in 2021.
