Why Good Trouble Was Canceled and Its Ending, Explained
With the writers' strike and changes to Disney's programming, where did that leave the fan-favorite show?
Good Trouble became a beloved show with a dedicated fan base due to its sincere portrayal of friendship and family (both traditional and found) and its willingness to tackle modern-day issues from Black Lives Matter, LGBTQ+ topics, injustice in the criminal system, and body positivity, to name but a few. It was made unique in the landscape of young adult shows by being willing to talk about political and cultural subjects that others avoided while bolstering a diverse cast of characters with unique struggles and charms.
