Chicago Fire season 12 took a short hiatus following the event of the year — aka, Sylvie Brett and Matt Casey's wedding — but it's almost time for the firefighters and paramedics of Firehouse 51 to move on with their lives following the couple's departure from the television show. The first half of the NBC drama's twelfth season primarily revolved around the buildup to Kara Killmer's exit from Chicago Fire. Now that she's officially gone as her character and Casey jetted off to Oregon shortly following their wedding, the focus will shift to other stories swirling around the firehouse, starting in episode 7.
