The first trailer for Star Wars: The Acolyte has at last premiered, and Star Wars is already planning its feature beyond season 1 - according to its showrunner. Set at the end of the High Republic era, long before the events of Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace, The Acolyte's story will detail the secret rise of the Sith in a mystery-thriller following the mysterious murders of several Jedi. As it turns out, The Acolyte has always intended to go beyond a single season, as showrunner Leslye Headland has revealed three months ahead of its two-episode premiere.
