Star Trek: Voyager’s Finale As A Movie In Theaters Would’ve Been A Great Idea
Presenting Voyager's finale as a Star Trek movie in theaters would've been a great cap to a 7-year run and a better sendoff for the USS Voyager crew.
It would have been a great idea to show the finale of Star Trek: Voyager as a feature film in movie theaters when Voyager ended in 2001. Star Trek: Voyager ended its seven-year run with the two-part episode "Endgame", which sprawls over two timelines and features Kate Mulgrew as both a time-traveling Admiral Kathryn Janeway and present-day Captain Kathryn Janeway, who team up to get the USS Voyager's crew home to the Alpha Quadrant in record time, while also finally defeating the Borg Queen (Alice Krige) once and for all. It's a high-concept adventure, but leaves little room for exploring the ramifications of the Voyager crew's absence.
