Michael Keaton has revealed his impression of the first cut of Beetlejuice 2, which hints at how the sequel’s story is replacing the roles of Geena Davis and Alec Baldwin’s original characters, Barbara and Adam Maitland. While Beetlejuice 2 is set to be released on September 6, 2024, the plot of the long-awaited sequel has still largely been kept under wraps, with the possible returns of some original characters still being mysteries. Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder, and Catherine O’Hara are confirmed to reprise their roles from Tim Burton’s 1988 horror-comedy, but the original film’s two main characters are seemingly being replaced.
