Masters Of The Air’s Callum Turner Starring In Neuromancer Series Adaptation

Having spent years in development limbo as films were announced only to vanish back into the ether, we are finally getting a screen version of William Gibson's iconic cyberpunk tome Neuromancer via a series in the works at Apple TV+. And the show's creative team is plucking an Apple TV veteran to star, as Masters Of The Air's Callum Turner is aboard in the lead role.

Gibson's book, which was first published in 1984, went on to receive a Hugo Award, a Nebula Award, and the Philip K. Dick Award. The novel follows Henry Case (the role Turner is taking), a washed-up hacker hired for one last job by a shady ex-military officer, which brings him in contact with a powerful artificial intelligence.

Gibson crafted two follow-ups, Count Zero and Mona Lisa Overdrive, which means there's material for future seasons if needed, or a potential anthology series. Graham Roland and JD Dillard are in charge of the show, Roland serving as showrunner and Dillard will direct the pilot.

Turner, of course, played Major John "Bucky" Egan in Masters and has also been seen in the likes of the Fantastic Beasts franchise and George Clooney's The Boys In The Boat.
