The Halloween franchise is now expanding with a TV show based on John Carpenter’s original movie, and thanks to this, it can finally solve a decades-long Michael Myers mystery. Back in 1978, John Carpenter brought the slasher movie Halloween, which would go on to become key in the development of the slasher genre in the 1980s, as well as one of the most influential horror movies in film history. The success of Halloween made way for a franchise with 13 movies (including two remakes) and different timelines, with most of them (except Halloween III: Season of the Witch) having Michael Myers as their villain.
