Gong Yoo has two K-dramas in 2024, thankfully putting an end to a two-year streak that began after The Silent Sea. While Gong Yoo’s career includes several great movies and shows, two of his most recognizable roles happened relatively recently. In 2016, Gong Yoo starred as Seok-woo in Train to Busan, the critically acclaimed Korean zombie movie that is widely considered one of the best of its genre. Five years after that in 2021, Gong Yoo would guest star as the Salesman – also known as the Recruiter – in Netflix’s global phenomenon Squid Game.
