Furiosa's trailer proves Fury Road's heroine may have had a part to play in her own tragic downfall judging by Immortan Joe's role in the prequel.
As surprising as it sounds, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga’s second trailer heavily implies that the Mad Max franchise heroine was instrumental in her own downfall in Mad Max: Fury Road. When viewers met Charlize Theron's Furiosa in 2015’s Fury Road, the heroic character was working for the monstrous warlord Immortan Joe. Although she soon betrayed him to save the women he kept hostage, the movie never explained how Furiosa ended up in his employ in the first place. Now, the upcoming Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga promises to justify this decision by delving into the character’s backstory in a long-awaited prequel.
