Emmy Winners 2025: Adolescence, The Studio, And The Pitt Dominate Awards — Full List

While all here in Blighty were safely tucked up in bed, over on the other side of the pond the stars assembled on Sunday night for the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards, hosted by comedian Nate Bargatze at The Peacock Theatre, Los Angeles. And on a historic evening, one which saw Owen Cooper become the youngest Emmy winner ever in any male acting category for his astonishing performance in Adolescence and Tramell Tillman emerge as the first Black actor to take home Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for Severance, three shows emerged as the night's biggest winners: Apple TV+ comedy The Studio, the aforementioned Netflix limited series Adolescence, and — in the big surprise of this year's ceremony — medical drama The Pitt.
Having already won nine awards at least weekend's Creative Arts Emmys, Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg's industry satire The Emmy added another four to its haul last night — including Outstanding Comedy, Writing and Directing in a Comedy Series, and Leading Actor in a Comedy Series (for Seth Rogen) — for a table-topping 13 wins overall. (No thanks were given to Sal Saperstein sadly, however.) Adolescence was no slouch with its overall haul of eight gongs, including major wins for Stephen Graham and Erin Doherty as Leading Actor and Supporting Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series, and — as expected — nods for Philip Barantini in his Directing race and the show as a whole in its Limited or Anthology category.
As for The Pitt, the real-time A&E drama — which still hasn't released in the UK yet, despite already teasing its second season Stateside — may have landed just three awards on the night, but they were some three awards. Not only did R. Scott Gemmill's show beat off Andor, The Last Of Us, Severance, and The White Lotus to land Outstanding Drama Series, but the show's Noah Wyle and Katherine LaNasa took home gold in the Outstanding Actor and Supporting Actress in a Drama Series run-ins respectively.
Elsewhere, noteworthy winners on the night included Jean Smart, who won her fourth Emmy in a row — and seventh overall — for her performance as Hacks' Deborah Vance; Britt Lower, whose *ahem* Helly of a performance in Severance landed her a deserved Lead Actress in a Drama Series win; and Cristin Milioti, whose psychopathic turn as The Penguin's Sofia Falcone was duly awarded too, fuelling the fire of fans' desire for a return to the world of Oz Cobb and co in the near future. Shoutouts also go to Empire team favourites Andor and Slow Horses, who may have been largely criminally overlooked this awards season, but did land great victories in the Writing and Directing for a Drama Series races respectively — Andor for Dan Gilroy's Mon Mothma speech featuring 'Welcome To The Rebellion', and Slow Horses for Adam Randall's explosive Season 4 finale.
