Dragon's Dogma 2 has some limited online multiplayer features, but the way they work isn't immediately clear. Although it's primarily a single-player RPG, the world of Dragon's Dogma 2 can be explored by a party of up to four. These may include the player character (the Arisen), friends' characters, and/or anything players can dream up in the robust character creator included with Dragon's Dogma 2.
