Breaking news! Apple TV+'s starry industry drama The Morning Show is set to get even starrier as production ramps up on its upcoming fourth season. Per THR's reporting, The Bikeriders' Boyd Holbrook and The Good Place actor William Jackson Harper are set to star opposite Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon in the latest series of the hit show, which is currently filming stateside. The duo will join previously announced new cast members Marion Cotillard, Jeremy Irons, and Aaron Pierre in Season 4.
Holbrook will be entering The Morning Show's dog-eat-dog media landscape in what sounds like an adversarial role as provocative podcaster and talk show host Brodie, whilst Harper will be on the TMS team as Ben, the fictitious TV network's headstrong and dynamic new Head of Sports. Elsewhere, Cotillard is set to play network operator Celine Dumont, Irons is aboard as Alex's (Aniston) father Martin Levy, and Pierre is due to have a guest slot on the show as a renowned visual artist. The new cohort will be joined for S4 by returning series regulars Witherspoon and Aniston, as well as Billy Crudup, Mark Duplass, Nestor Carbonell, Karen Pittman, Greta Lee, Jon Hamm, and Nicole Beharie.
With The Morning Show S4 set to mark a two-year time jump for the show, it'll be interesting to see how showrunner Charlotte Stoudt handles the aftermath of S3's explosive finale, which saw *SPOILER ALERT* Aniston's Alex stage a coup and land a UBA-NBN merger right under backstabbing billionaire mogul boyf Paul Marks' (Hamm) nose, whilst Witherspoon's embattled Bradley turned herself in to the Feds and now finds herself facing multiple felony charges. With big changes afoot at TMS, power shifts abound, and a big 24 months to catch up on, one thing's for certain: the show's ratings are gonna be shooting through the roof! We'll find out how it all shakes out when The Morning Show goes back on air (presumably sometime next year.)
