Chuck’s best seasons feature a compelling throughline and plenty of fun standalone episodes, but the spy comedy doesn’t always find the right balance.
Zachary Levi's spy comedy Chuck ran for five seasons in total, and the show went through plenty of highs and lows. Chuck stars Levi as a directionless college dropout who inadvertently gets a database full of government secrets and CIA training techniques downloaded directly into his brain. Yvonne Strahovski and Adam Baldwin play his handlers from the CIA and NSA, and the main cast is rounded out by Joshua Gomez, Sarah Lancaster and Ryan McPartlin. Chuck pays homage to James Bond and other classic spy stories, but it packs a comedic punch too.
