Movies including The Matrix, Interstellar, and The Curse of the Black Pearl have a few plot holes but are still fun to watch and beloved by fans.
It is possible to love watching a movie again and again, despite its glaring plot holes. This is the inverse of movies with great premises but awful execution; a good premise can stand as an entertaining movie despite its bad writing. Sci-fi and fantasy movies with intricate world-building might end up with plot holes because the very nature of the story is speculative, and often involves a specific “one” being able to bend the rules that are established for the sake of the plot.
