The Morning Show Lands Season 5 Renewal Ahead Of Season 4 Premiere On Apple TV+

Ahead of the Season 4 premiere of the streaming giant's star-studded industry drama today, Apple has gotten ahead of the curve and announced that its Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon starrer will be back for Season 5. Huzzah!

News of The Morning Show's renewal was confirmed by Deadline late last night, showing Apple's continuing confidence in Jay Carson and Kerry Ehrin's series, which — lest we forget — scored a Season 4 renewal ahead of Season 3's premiere back in 2023, and is one of the few shows that's been part of the streaming furniture on Apple TV+ ever since the platform launched back in 2019. What's more, with the latest run of episodes set to push the series' chronological needle forward to 2024, taking the newly merged UBA-NBN newsroom into a post-truth world of misinformation, AI, and rampant conspiracy theorising, there's certainly no shortage of road ahead for The Morning Show to travel down.

While we obviously don't know exactly what Season 5 has in store for us just yet (or Season 4, really, for that matter), how things will shake out for Jennifer Aniston's tenacious Alex Levy as she takes up a new position, or indeed how Reese Witherspoon's embattled former co-anchor Bradley Jackson is set to rebuild her life after turning herself in to the FBI last season, we do know that the show is bringing out the big guns for its fourth outing. Alongside regulars Aniston, Witherspoon, Billy Crudup, Mark Duplass, Greta Lee, and Jon Hamm, the new season also brings with it fresh faces in and out of the newsroom, including Aaron Pierre, William Jackson Harper, Boyd Holbrook, and Oscar winners Marion Cotillard and Jeremy Irons.
