Star Wars' New Fallen Jedi Breaks from the Franchise's 'Sith Corruption' Cliché
One of the more consistent clichés in Star Wars is the 'fallen Jedi turned Sith' trope, but the series' latest fallen Jedi breaks that tired cliché.
Warning: Contains SPOILERS for Star Wars: The High Republic #5! Throughout the Star Wars franchise, one of the most tried and true tropes is that of the fallen Jedi turned Sith. Whenever a Jedi stops being a Jedi, more often than not, they turn to the dark side. This was true with Count Dooku, Kylo Ren, and - of course - Anakin Skywalker. However, this wasn’t the case with Star Wars’ latest fallen Jedi, thereby breaking the franchise’s ‘Sith corruption’ cliché.
