Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire has debuted with a 60% Tomatometer score on Rotten Tomatoes. The first wave of reviews for the latest MonsterVerse smack-down have been mixed, although everyone seems to agree that the new movie certainly knows what it is doing when it comes to spectacular visual effects. However, the film suffers from being hollow when it comes to character development, according to others. Despite that, the film has retained a "fresh" score, even if it still comes in as one of the lowest of the franchise.
