Dune: Part Two has broken a huge domestic box office record for star Timothée Chalamet. The movie adapts the second half of the titular Frank Herbert sci-fi novel, featuring Chalamet reprising his 2021 role as Paul Atreides. The opening weekend of the smash hit, which also stars Zendaya, Austin Butler, Florence Pugh, and Rebecca Ferguson, raked in $82 million on the domestic front, and the movie quickly rose past $500 million worldwide to become the highest-grossing movie of 2024 so far.
