Anakin Skywalker’s fall to the dark side and subsequent metamorphosis into Darth Vader is perhaps the most heartbreaking storyline in the Star Wars universe, and Emperor Palpatine just hinted that it may be even more tragic than fans knew. Palpatine seduced Anakin to the dark side by twisting his inherent fear of losing Padmé and his unborn children into swirling, hellish nightmares that plagued Anakin constantly. However, it seems Palpatine wasn’t the sole cause of Anakin’s fall from grace, as most of the blame apparently lies with Anakin himself - for one reason.
